What is it about lying no one seems to get?

I keep hearing all about antiquated we Americans are for being so obsessed with our politicians sex lives. For the umpteenth time, it isn't the sex we're obsessed with its the fact our politicians keeps lying about it to our faces. John Edwards can screw whoever he wants, but don't get up in front the country and say what a loving family man you are when you don't even know the definition of the term. What's worse is his poor suffering wife played along. It's hard to feel sorry for a woman who finds it far more important that her husband be President than be faithful. Hmmm, I guess she'll be running as Hillary's VP candidate, they're a perfect pair.

David Paulin wrote this great piece about female Democrats are finally mad at a philandering male Democrat. John Edwards has accomplished with one mistress what Bill Clinton couldn't do with half a dozen. What I don't understand is why these female columnists weren't up in arms over Paula, Gennifer, or Monica. The prize quote on all of the is from her highness the queen of hypocrisy Arianna Huffington:

I've long pushed for a giant border fence separating public life and privatelives. But the issue here wasn't Edwards' infidelity, it was his lying directly to the American people. The last thing we need is a sexual purity test for our politicians, but we desperately need political leaders whose word we can trust.

Does this woman realize you lose just a little credibility when you defend Bill & Hillary on their honesty records, but rip Edwards on his? Arianna truly has no shame.
